Local Movie Director Highlighted as 1 of the BEST on CBC Television

Local director Chris Goldade of Media Button Communications Inc. received recognition in an interview on CBC TV for his short film "Not Another Damn Musical". The one hour CBC special featured the best of the Crazy 8's Films from the past few years.

"Not Another Damn Musical" was written and directed by Chris for the Crazy 8's Film Festival and audiences are singing his praises. The Crazy 8's Film Festival is one of the largest film competitions in Canada and the single best way in BC to launch your career. One of the past winners includes Zach Lipovsky, Crazy 8's alumni, whose film "Crazy Late" helped him secure a spot on the Steven Spielberg show "On The Lot".

In 2006, Chris attended the Art Institute of Vancouver on a full scholarship. In 2008 he received the Most Promising Film Maker in BC Award from the Student Film Festival. Since then, Chris has worked in all aspects of filmmaking while in Vancouver and on a variety of projects including Hollywood feature films, music videos, television series, documentaries and commercials.

The CBC special originally aired Saturday July 17th; however, CBC will be featuring the film again on Saturday, August 14th, at 9:00 PM.

Chris currently resides in Kelowna and is putting his talent to work at Media Button where he is head of the Video/Post-Production Department.
