Canadian Hockey Legend’s New Website Launched from Kelowna

Media Button, an Okanagan-based leading multi media company, is pleased to announce the launch of www.HayleyWickenheiser.com, a comprehensive website created for one of the world’s greatest female athletes. The website was launched in time for the 2010 Olympics in which Hayley will play for Team Canada.

Hayley Wickenheiser is a legend in female hockey, best known for leading Team Canada to many championships through the Olympics and other world events. She made hockey history when she became the first female hockey player to notch a point in a men’s professional game in the Finnish Hockey League. Wickenheiser has been instrumental in the overall success of female hockey and has been an icon to many young girls. The three-time Olympic medalist lives in Calgary, where she trains with Team Canada and is preparing to make her fourth Winter Olympic appearance in February 2010. The website will be updated throughout the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver.

The new website is loaded with current and historical photo galleries, biography and videos. It is highlighted by a special section called Club Wick which fans and young female players can join to get exclusive access to rare photos, a personal audio journal updated by Hayley, prizes like a signed Team Canada jersey and over 20 video tips filmed by Media Button from the Hockey Hall of Fame in Calgary.
